125 Years of Innovation
Months of preparation went into creating a microsite to celebrate and document Bank of Hawaii’s 125th anniversary.
Digging deep into the archives, key events from each decade were selected to create an illustrative timeline, which highlights BoH’s many achievements and their long-standing dedication to generations of customers.
Combining a mix of historic photographs and various illustration techniques, each key event was given its own unique blade. An intentional use of color theory, graphic styling, and subtle animation visually guides the user through each decade — from black and white photography, to a vivid digital age — showcasing the evolution and innovation of this historic bank.
